That afternoon we got to go to TWO Birthday parties! Unfortunately we only have snapshots from Drew Farell's Cowboy party because we forgot to take our camera to Topher Padgham's football-themed party. Both parties were an absolute BLAST and fun was had by all.
It was an exciting day for Avery and she CRASHED when we got home about 7:30 on Saturday night. What a day!
We're gearing up for another weekend of fun as we'll head south to Drew Bossen's hometown to spend the weekend with him! Avery's looking forward to meeting her new cousin and hanging out. She's working on the word "baby" everytime we look at his pictures, but it sounds more like "buoy" at this point... She's mastered Mama, Dada, Hi, Apple and Eye, but other words and phrases she's still working on. Collin and I know what she's saying, but only because we live with her. Actually... I'll steal this idea from a friend's blog and list the words Avery's working on below phonetically and translate them for you: (Random, but kinda fun for the grandparents to read.)
"buoy" = Baby (says while pointing to Mom's belly)
"keh-keh" = Cracker
"BAH-da-da-da" = Bye bye Dada (every morning when Collin goes to work)
"doh" or "gah" = Dog
"Hi doh" = Hi Dog
"keh-keh" = Cracker

She has gotten SO big! What a cutie. And if it makes you feel better, we just got our Christmas tree down on Sunday. Seriously...
Wow, Avery! What a great list of words. I can just hear her sweet little voice saying them! :) What a big girl.
Oh, and can you email me that picture of Drew with his nose all wrinkled up! Ha! My brother needs to see that and since he is in SC, a picture is the best we can do! Thanks a bunch!
um yeah...we still haven't taken our lights down...at what point do you just leave them up for the next year?
I'm super impressed by Avery. After you guys came over the other day I realized how grown up she's gotten, can't wait to see the girls grow up together.
She cracks me up! I can't wait until Nathan has more words to translate :)
